Eppie has gone to the wild. I think he wanted to visit the the zoo by himself. Or maybe the stories at the library--I'm sure he wanted to read up on his elephant-nature.
Lucky-enough, Mum took me to the zoo and I befriended Gjaff. He can tickle your nose just like Eppie.
